The Robin Hoods Bay area was settled as early as the Bronze age, about 1000 BCE. Burial mounds from this period can be seen on the moorland south of the village. Over a thousand years later the Romans built a signal tower at nearby Ravenscar, but the first permanent settlement was not established until the Dark ages, after the departure of the Romans.

The first published prose account of Robin Hood's life appears to be the anonymously authored The Noble Birth and Gallant Atchievements of that Remarkable Out-Law, Robin Hood (1678). Material from this work was often plagiarised by criminal biographers in works such as: The Whole Life and Merry Exploits of Bold Robin Hood (1712), Alexander Smith's A Complete History of the Lives and Robberies of the Most Notorious Highwaymen, Footpads, Shoplifts and Cheats (1719), Charles Johnson 's Lives and Exploits of the Most Noted Highwaymen (1734). [4] In addition, there were numerous books printed throughout the late seventeenth and eigheenth centuries that went by the name of Robin Hood's Garland . These were cheaply printed collections of later Robin Hood ballads.

Raven tried her best to keep the prophecy a secret from the rest of the Titans and acts as a hero in hopes that the good she does at least makes up for the evil she would unleash. Eventually, Raven did become the portal and gem to the city's demise. Robin finds Raven, a shadow of her former self, and with the encouragement of Robin and the other Titans, gains the confidence she needs, which restores Raven, allowing her to defeat Trigon, and reverse the damage Trigon caused.
